What is Feudalism?
Feudalism is an old agricultural, societal, economic system that establishes social classes. The social classes are definite. Most people in a feudalistic society are peasants and laborers. Others are the artisans, and merchants. But they all pay taxes to the lords, church, nobles, and Monarch. The Lords own the land under the king. The few in the ruling class have a lot of tax money paid to them and leave the poor poor. The poor usually have little to no rights under the government, and they are basically administered by the Lord that owns their land. It's a system that's out of use anymore. North Korea might be feudalistic to an extent, because they control the economy to the max, give the people no rights, and live in extreme wealth. Feudalistic Nations and Leaders -North Korea -Kingdom of France -Russian Empire -Kim Jong Un -King Louis XVI -Tsar Nicholas II -Czar Alexander II -Tsar Alexander III Importance to the Russian Revolution The Russian Revolution was fueled by Feudalism. Feudalism hadn't been the norm for most of Europe after the middle ages. The French Revolution was in response to the outdated system. That was a hundred years before the Russian Revolution. The income gap and the hard labor was really bad for the Russian people once Russia industrialized. Bloody Sunday was just a protest to the lack of government regulation and they got massacred. The Feudalistic system was meant for agriculture. It got a lot worse once they industrialized. The workers had little rights and money, while the Tsar had a great palace from the tax money of the poor that can barely pay it. That fueled the revolution. They wanted equality, so they implemented communism into the government. |
